Arts & Theater... The DMA in Dallas and the nearby Ft. Worth Museum funded by the ultra Rich Bass family.

The Mac...An ultra cool venue owned by gabillionaire, Trammel Crow, located on Uptown Mc Kinney Ave. has...The man truly believes in the arts, just look at some of his properties.

Style Stuff...

Forty Five Ten ... Another store with clothing...just what Dallas needed right. O but wait, it's not just clothes, or at least the avg. clothing. It's a life style store specializing in women & menās clothing. Their mentality is so refreshing, that it's scary...Just when one thought traditional retail was dead, these peeps, along with some others in Dallas, re- invent retail...Think the simplicity of a Jill Sander store with the most obscure labels that one can find...If price is an issue for one, or u don't value your individuality/or aren't willing to pay for it...you might just wanna proceed to the Gap...These folks have a clear cut vision who their client is an that's who they cater to...You go boys! The hottest stuff in the store, bar none, is by Dallas based designer, Jeffrey Lee, who happens to be a sales associate at a competing store...Plain and simple...hushbox rating...4 boxes...Do check this joint out.

STANLEY KORSHAK...One of the best options in the freaking country...They just carry the best stuff, menās and women's, cosmetics, all of it. Do treat yourself. Located at the Crescent...one of the finest boutique hotels around.

Tootsies...Preston Rd...another off the chain shopping experience.

Neiman Marcus... downtown Dallas...Can only say WoW!

The Carla Martinengo btq...check out the runway stuff from the Chloe collection...

ARTISTI NIKOLINI...It's special enough to list his ph. number...214/220.0023...the kebo of shoes...He is the man. We here at the hushbox tried on the spring collection, my gawd...Off the chain! 3304 Cole Ave, Uptown Dallas.

The Galleria, N. Dallas...More like one big specialty store haven, think Atlanta's Phipps Plaza, but on a much grander level.

Northpark Mall... Very similar to Lenox in Atlanta, without all the I'm just hanging out crowd...Unfortunately, the N. Park Neiman Marcus blows the one in Atlanta awaaaaaaaaay...at least Atlanta can be thankful that it has something other than, N. Pointe, Southlake & Towne Center.

Highland Park Village...can you say, Calvin Klein btq., Prada btq., Polo btq., Chanel btq., Escada btq., and the Ultimo btq....just to name a few...

Restaurants...

Jeroboam...When the gurls of Dallas say to go and check out a place, you'd better take those orders and any others they might give...On a rainy Wed. night before thanksgiving, myself and a Dallas hushbox hunnie did just that...We started out to what is one of the most popular spots in Dallas, a roboto bar called TETE...there was an hour .5 wait and the hostess let me know that it was because they have the best food in Dallas...The best food or not, I had to tell the lil hunnie that I didn't particularly wait on a seat that long anywhere, with less tude of course than she had in her comment to me.>>>

Anyway, after driving around for a few, it hit me to go check out the Jeroboam...Man! When I tell you it's the best food I've ever had, I mean that...It's French without all the European fluff & tude, which I luv...In more ghetto fab lingo, "shawty, da shit was off da chain"... Here is the history before the main course...It's owned by the EC Group>> same folks that do the Green Room, the Gypsy Tea Room, Trees & Vortex Mex. It's located in downtown Dallas, 1501 Main St., directly across from Neimanās...The decor seems like something out of a swank train station, very kewl w/o trying to be. The bar area is ample enough to hold all the Dallas tits (.)(.) and ass ( )Y()...As the story was explained to me, the chef use to be the sous chef at the Green Room...anyway...it's definitely a hushbox must go eat.

My suggestions>>>

Vino...Chateau Pontensac 96'

Starter...Red onion tart-red onion baked into a tart with brie, topped with baby greens in a vinaigrette.

Dive on in...Tenderloin with a butternut squash mash potato or try this...portabella mushroom stuffed quail & veal medallions over asparagus w/ a dijon mustard cream sauce, the latter was originally served with coos coos, but I opted for asparagus.

Finishers...if ur not going to opt for a cheese after dinner, do do dessert...calfoutis-strawberries & raspberries in a baked custard. mint anglaze...LAWD have mercy!

Voltaire...Addison, right off the Tollway.

Aquaknox & TETE...Knox/Henderson area. s
